Are you interested in being a model?

Midwest Photography Workshops puts models into three basic categories:

  • 1)Fashion/Portraiture and Swimwear Models
  • 2) Lingerie/ BoudoirModels
  • 3) Nude/Figure Model
  • When hired to work a class or workshop, Midwest Photography Workshops pays the model a fee equal to the tuition of one student.

  • For example:
  • Fashion,Portrait and Swimwear are priced between $125.00 and $150.00 - the model would be paid $125.00 - $150.00.
  • Lingerie/Boudoir workshops are priced between $150.00 and $195.00.
  • Nude/Figure classes cost the most and therefore pay the model the most at $195.00-$250.00.
  • Workshops are usually held on Saturdays or Sundays from 10 AM to 5 PM.

All models must do two test shoots to determine suitability prior to employment. Part of the reason for the test shoot is to find out if the model is responsible enough to actually arrive on time and prepared to work.

Models are responsible for their own wardrobe, hair styling and makeup. Midwest Photography Workshops has some props and clothing, but chances are, the models own wardrobe will fit better. Photographers prize models that are versatile in their "looks". Models who can wear an evening gown, sports wear, swimwear, casual wear, lingerie or nothing at all have an increased chance of employment than a model that has only one really good "look".

Nudity is never required during a test shoot unless you are auditioning to become a figure model.

Models are welcome to bring a chaperone or parent so long as they do not interfere with the test shoot.

Models under the age of 18 are required to bring a parent or guardian

Models should arrive at the test shoot with more outfits than they could ever possibly wear. The photographer and model will collaborate on which costumes (outfits) to wear.

Midwest Photography Workshops has a state-of-the-art studio with a separate models changing room. Models do not have to endure a test shoot for free.

Midwest Photography Workshops will provide a CD of select images for the model to have at no charge.

Models that arrive late or under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be turned away.
