Refund/Cancellation Policy
Midwest Photography Workshops will make every attempt to conduct all classes and workshops listed on our web page: www.mpw.com . Occasionally, insufficient enrolment causes MPW to cancel a workshop or class. Minimum enrolment or not, is determined on the Thursday preceding the class. Students who have enrolled in a cancelled class or workshop and have paid a deposit to the class, have several options.
- MPW can write a check to reimburse the amount they paid to enroll, and then mail them the check. (The student is also welcome to pick the check up in person at the Farmington Hills campus by appointment only.) If the student paid for the class by our on-line registration service, MPW will initiate a reverse charge to their credit card.
- The student is welcome to request the deposit to be transferred to another class or workshop of their choosing provided it is not already sold out.
- The student is welcome to request the deposit to be applied to another product or service provided by MPW such as: studio rental, private lessons or the purchase of a fine art print.
Midwest Photography Workshops will make every attempt to contact students prior to the start of each class or workshop to remind them of starting times and items to bring to class. We apologize for any inconvenience encountered by the student arriving to the campus for a cancelled class or workshop due to an incorrect phone number or e-mail address. If the student has not paid a deposit for the intended class or workshop, they do not have a reasonable expectation to get a reminder phone call. MPW will not be responsible to reimburse any expenses to the student due to their arrival to the school for a cancelled class or workshop.
Midwest Photography Workshops registers students on a first-come-first served basis. Certificate Students get priority for classes that are sold out.
If the student needs to cancel or drop out of any class or workshop, a two-week minimum notice is required. If the class or workshop is posted on our web page: www.mpw.com as sold out, a minimum three-week minimum notice is required to facilitate the replacement of that sold out seat. MPW will make every attempt to re-fill that vacated seat from our waiting list. If no replacement is found, the entire deposit is forfeited up to but not to exceed 50% of the entire class or workshop fee. The penalty of forfeit might be waived if extenuating medical cuircumstances exist. (Medical proof may be required.) If notification of cancellation by the student is delivered with more than two weeks prior to the start of the class, no penalty will be accesed.
