Art & Craft of B&W
Photography
This class offers
the opportunity to combine the information you have previously acquired
and allow your shooting skills and darkroom skills to come together. Through
lectures and demonstrations, we will help you understand the skills needed
in exposing and developing the negative in a manner best suited to available
light photography. The first two sessions will be spent learning details
of how to optimize shooting techniques. Learn about "Light Isolates",
how to determine effective film speeds (ISO) and how to pre-visualize
your photo to have an increased three-dimensional view. A field trip to
Greenfield Village will allow you to put these concepts into practice.
The next four evening sessions are spent in the darkroom. The last evening
is a print critique and review of your work to refine issues of composition,
print mounting, matting and framing. All classroom and darkroom sessions
are at our East English Village - Detroit, MI location. Class fee does
not include admission to Greenfield Village. Evening session are conducted
from 6:300-10:30 P.M.
